Interesting! Kush proudly announces q.632: a gently repackaged update of the beloved Magpha EQ, an obscure and defunct plugin whose unusual phase-modeled filters earned it a reputation for smoothness and fidelity that rival what comes out of $9,000 analog mastering EQ’s. Check it out at thehouseofkush.com/q632 today! ------- Kush proudly announces q.632: an EQ plugin it didn’t design, using EQ dsp it didn’t develop. q.632 is a gently repackaged update of the beloved Magpha EQ, an obscure and defunct plugin whose unusual phase-modeled filters earned it a reputation for smoothness and fidelity that rival what comes out of $9,000 analog mastering EQ’s. Spotting an opportunity to revive Magpha’s lovely tech, Kush reached out to John Flynn, the mastering engineer who developed it, and secured an exclusive license both to the Magpha plugin and its underlying EQ algorithms. q.632 is the first Kush product to leverage Magpha’s EQ dsp, adding extended gain range, an updated Preset Manager and Apple Silicon compatibility. Magpha EQ’s core dsp (and tightly phased sound) remains untouched, and will slowly become incorporated into all of Kush’s products. TL;DR: If you want a dead simple, minimalist EQ that does zero damage to any part of your sound no matter what you do with it, q.632 is the one to get.

My jaw dropped when I saw that Gregory was bringing this back. I loved this eq and always found it to be different than everything else. I haven't used it in a while cause I went Apple Silicon. I was soooo bummed that it was abandoned. Anyway, I'm thrilled Kush has brought it back. Honestly shocked. But thrilled.
And if you owned a license of Magpha, Kush will be taking care of you with a free new license!

Just bought it. I am excited about this. It is amazing what plugins can do now. Several things that I love about plugins: 1. It helps soothe my gear purchase addiction without putting me in finanical jeapardy. 2. It does not take up much room in my project studio which is already difficult to walk around everything and have some open space for recording. 3. No delivery anxiety, signatures required, damaged in transit and the like.
And of course, all the other things about plugins that are discussed often.
