Anyone having trouble with Cubase 12? I’m on a new Mac M1 studio, OS Monterey, with Motu ultra lite AVB and 16A interfaces.
So far this install has been nothing but problems. Random audio drop outs and extreme record latency when tracking. ASIO Guard, delay compensation, buffer settings …all do nothing to change things. What’s weird is the latency isn’t consistent, it’ll start in time, and after several takes it’ll “drift” until it’s like an 1/8th note off. Also, my hardware inserts aren’t working, the latency is horrendous, to the point that the I/o plug-in can’t compensate.
Anyone having similar issues?

Yikes, I currently have it running like a dream on Windows 11.
I was considering a new Mac M1 studio as I was under the impression Steinberg had finally got Cubase to be properly cross platform. Your report is to the contrary!
I hope it's something simple and easily corrected as those new Mac Studios look to be the perfect studio workstation.

I run Cubase 12 Pro on a Mac Studio w/Monterey. It's worked great so far. The only thing bugging me, is the Cubase screen resolution on Mac. I feel like I'm back in 1998.

I would have to check my setup to give you a firm answer, but if you use several converters together (aggregate device), make sure the drift correction is turned off in Apple's audio setup. I had phase shifting going on when I first played back a project, and it seemed to drift in and out. It went away when I disabled the correction.

This is not my setup, but it shows where you enable/disable the drift correction.

Ok, so I just updated Monterey to the latest version, and updated my Motu drivers which had an update released today (very timely). Also followed some online guides regarded optimizing Mac OS and I meticulously went through every needless parameter and disabled everything I didn’t need. Between those three things it seems to be running smoother. Now my hardware inserts are working, so far, but I haven’t tried tracking anything yet. We’ll see.
Next step is I’m going to try running the interfaces over thunder lot instead of usb. Hopefully that fixes the rest of the issues.

I'd love to have a link to that info, if possible?
