I'll take a ELA M 251E please :-)
I've not heard the TF range yet - so I'll be interested to hear some feedback too.

I like the... Copperhead/AR51 & TF51. The TF11 wasn't available at the time, I tested them.
Lots of competition for the TF47, as many 47 Clones around that price point. Chris

Hmm... $1300 and under new (Copperhead) $1800 and under new (TF51)
Definitely worth trying out. My $1300 and under short list... UA 167/Soundelux U195. Microtech Gefell M930. Soyuz Bomblet. SE T2 Lewitt 840. UT 47FET. All those nice 87 "inspired by's". Serrano/UT/Beesneez/Warm/et al...
$1300-$1800 range... Heiserman H47 FET. Chandler TG. Neumann TLM 193.

I have linked a couple audio files of an A/B we did below. Same performance. Same API pres. No processing. Level matched. We purchased 2 Telefunken TF47s after a good client brought in one to A/B with one of our vintage 1974 U87s that both sound great. He wanted a good mic to record himself at home. Had always used our 87s. I was impressed with the sound. I ended up buying 2 of them as we have 2 studios and we usually leave up one of our U87s in each room as a go to vocal mic but one of our U87s was in repair. We put the 2 TF47s up in place. We have other great mics also. I have tried many of the sub $2000 microphones of recent and really haven't like any except the Stam. The TF47 is a little darker than the U87 but the tone is nice. It's usually the high end of mics in this price range and cheaper that I don't like. I would like to try the TF251 sometime. The build quality feels good. Nice shockmount. Power supply and cable. We record lot's of vocals from rap to heavy rock and everything in between. Haven't tried them on instruments yet. www.dropbox.com/sh/y7pm9i1aqbwxjpa/AAAmmv21j7Y_MugOT4A1lFFoa?dl=0Attachments:

Is this where the Chinese clone comments happen?? Look, TF does not stand for Tin Foil. I've said this before.

Does anyone care about visual design any longer? Those (and most mics made these days) LOOK dreadful.

Does anyone care about visual design any longer? Those (and most mics made these days) LOOK dreadful. I thought I was the only one. I've always found the Alchemy/TF series mics to be kind of unsightly.
The TF11 is probably the worst of the bunch visually, but sonically, it's also the most intriguing to me. Every clip I've heard of it sounds quite good.
Don't mean to bash T-funk, as I'd obviously love to try their 47 sometime.
