They've apparently made the "VI Pro2" player the included default. I paid for it because it was such an insane upgrade...I haven't done the conversion yet, but I did notice they're no longer supporting the old "included" Vienna Instrument player/engine.
I've long said that should've BEEN...it makes those old samples SOOO much better...load instantly...get as tweaky as you want with intonation...etc...even keep different intonations for key changes and switch mid song...I mean I don't get why anyone would've been wanting to use VSL stuff without that engine, other than the principle of having to pay for a better engine after playign through the nose for samples.
My fave part is that you can have each voice "find tuning" slowly or quickly...makes it SO much more realistic as no string player is ever like EEEEE dead on from the outset. I can't HEAR the up and down slides on the fast settings, it just sounds realistic where it didn't previously.
Anyhoo...I know Kennedy has some...thought I'd post that...having extolled the virtues of the (formerly) paid player before.
