I use Superior drummer, and some of the newer drum kits are huge in memory...
So, I tried the cached mode, and was surprised at how little memory they consume vs the size of the kit loaded...
eg. 800 Mg kit using 160Mg of samples after caching. 3G kit using 1G after caching.
Also, when caching you can ramp up the tempo of the song.. to say 1000 BPM and it works fine and caches in seconds....and then I freeze the track in logic, again takes seconds, but be sure to do that at the slower actual song tempo.
I see much better performance on my 8G M1 Mac mini... and actually this means I have no need to go bigger (eg 16G or Mac Studio)
cheers

I’ve never changed it. It loads pretty dang quick now with my ssd, but even quicker would be better.

Over in the box where it says how much memory is used... click on that.... also maybe run the song at not such a fast tempo...It missed a couple of hits... when I ran it at a 1000bpm... 8) cheers Wiz
