I noticed today that PACE (the godawful ILOK service) was chewing up 20% of my CPU at IDLE.. I rebooted and it was a few percent for a while but started climbing higher and higher over the hours. I'm not sure I've ever seen it that high before although I've noticed that it did climb over time. I initially thought it was due to poor coding (still might be) but I decided to look on the internet for some clues. A few people mentioned various plugs, various theories and a few "try this" suggestions. I did find one mention in a different forum about Slate VMR modules using a lot of PACE CPU time if they aren't activated. Most folks were claiming 5% or so. I found another thread about removing them to reduce CPU usage: slatedigital.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006634128-Removing-VMR-ModulesAnd boy, once I removed the unused modules the CPU went from 20% after a few hours to ~1% after a few hours.
