Sad to hear another iconic singer and actor Meat Loaf has died today. Its funny as you get older, to think dying at the age of 74 seems way too young. I remember as a kid thinking 60 was old. Wow things change as you age. Anyway appreciate the talent he shared with the world. What a great Legacy to leave behind. But 74, thats way too young. RIP my good friend.

Met him about 20 years ago. He was in Nashville to listen for songs for his album. Seemed like a nice guy.

Great guy... I toured with him quite a few times over the years, as his house sound mixer. Quite a character, but a very cool guy, who gave it all, every damn show!

Wow. I was washing the dishes last night and suddenly Meatloaf came into my brain. I was thinking about what a singular, unique kind of artist he is. Wake up to find out he's gone.
RIP 'loaf.

So I heard this on the news this morning - threw on Bat Out of Hell.
Never realized how much of a Phil Spector stylized production Took The Words Right Out of My Mouth has going on. Bgvs, single note counter melody, tambo, the verb. Not sure how I’ve missed that for all these years.

Sad news, everyone who worked with him seams to agree he was a great guy to work with that never took the whole rockstar thing that seriously.

His name was Robert Paulsen. No, it was Michael Lee Aday. Paulsen is a voice actor (voiced my most AND least favorite childhood characters on my most favorite childhood show -- the ninja turtles). Unless this is some kind of joke that's going over my head? Anywho, total bummer, and another completely avoidable covid death. Sucks. RIP.

He had a beast of a voice. What a music legacy. RIP. I too found myself blasting “Bat out of Hell” on my commute home…. Maybe some Rocky Horror too.

Always appreciated how unique his sound was. Did his own thing and I can respect that✌🏻
P.S. Can we please let the man Rest In Peace without the usual Covid political b.s.?

It's not BS if that's what happened. The guy figured out how to be a freaking rockstar when he had so much working against him. Can you imagine looking the way he did in the 1970s trying to convince a label you’re going to be the next big thing? I find what he did incredibly impressive. He wrote amazingly creative and entertaining songs, but…no let’s reduce him to being a “science denier” before they’ve even lowered him into the ground. That’s petty. Now everyone that actually knew him seems to have nothing but great things to say about the man he was and how he treated them. That’s what matters at the end of the day. My point is, He did plenty in our field to discuss and reflect on without needing to speculate about whether he was vaccinated or not. Never mind the fact that he’s been overweight for as long as he’s been famous at least(45 years or so!) so no shot, 2 shots…10 shots…the dude was going to have a hard time with covid. He lost his battle, it’s sad and we should show respect, not use it as some opportunity to make a cheap political point.

No politics at all. He stated his opinion very clearly himself. I'm not putting words in his mouth or speaking ill. I think it's a shame he got sick and didn't have the defense to fight through it.

Didn’t Todd Rundgren produce at least the first album?
