Anyone have any experiences? I’ve seen them used but also have heard about issues with UAD, Lynx, Focusrite (no drivers) etc.
I am thinking about getting a Lynx rig starting with the Hilo and expanding to the Aurora N later daisy chained off of thunderbolt. Like a UAD Apollo rig with better sound.
The best USB is RME but I don’t really like the sound of their multichannel interfaces and want to get out of usb for various reasons.

I know Antelope has a thunderbolt driver for windows that's had some compatibility issues. I use an imac with my Antelope Discrete in my studio, but I was thinking about doing some remote recording with my windows laptop and decided to wait after I read about the issues. From what I understand, they can be solved, I just wasn't interested in dealing with it at the time.

I’m running 3 X Lynx Auroras (old model) and 3 X UA Satellites via TB on a Windows 64-bit system. It has been stable for the past 4 years.
The only thing that’ll cause issues, is turning off the converters before the computer. Then I get the sweet, sweet BSOD.

I've been running TB3 with an Apollo 8X and 3 PCIE cards for 3 years no problems, Win 10 64bit. No issues to speak of.

I'm running TB on Windows 10 for an Aurora (n) 32. It has been generally issue free.

Guys, Does the Lynx N control Nd Hilo Remote software have onboard zero latency effects to create a headphone mix or is the round trip latency low enough to use zero latency native plugs?

Dan Unless things have changed, neither have onboard DSP/effects. I would be so glad to be told I'm wrong though.

been running Apollo X8 and Twin MKII on thunderbolt 2 and windows 10 for years here very stable no problems works great for me however be warned uad tbolt driver and windows system audio (wdm) playback has issues for a number of people. Probably best to test things first if you are possibly going to be running an apollo interface.

Had an Apollo 8. Worked great on Windows and Mac. No issues what so ever. I had a titan ridge controller on an Asus board.
Of course now I am back on RME and can use it on any computer no issues at all. Pull out all those horrible 4560 opamps and they sound pretty good.

I ran my PC with a Gigabyte board that had TB-3 on it. It worked most of the time. Occasionally it would freeze the whole computer.
This was a Lynx Aurora (n) that I still use on an M1 mini.
I used RME pci-e card with my Aurora 16 which was fast and solid.

Aurora(n) TB on Windows 10 for over two years, zero issues.
I run 2 Aurora(n) 16s TB daisy-chained, the second (n) clocked to the first (n), flawless.

For my setup, workflow and acoustic genre, I have never found latency to be an issue. Aurora(n) TB on Windows 10 for over two years, zero issues. I run 2 Aurora(n) 16s TB daisy-chained, the second (n) clocked to the first (n), flawless. Is the latency synched up and compensated for in the daw?

Is the latency synched up and compensated for in the daw? I know you aren't asking me, but there was a few samples difference for me that was not accounted for in Reaper with my TB Aurora(n). It didn't affect me in a practical sense, though. Easy to offset as well.
