So what is the difference between the Melda Mrotary and Mvintagerotary other than price?
And speaking of the Hammr+, if you guys haven't tried any of their other VIs like the Cloud Cello or Ghost Piano, you owe it to yourselves to give it a try. There are some truly creative tools that Soundust makes.

Notably missing in the HamMr+ are the pedal tones (unless I'm missing something here). That's a big omission for organ players... you know, the guys who still play with their feet.

I might just end up with the B5 and the Melda. In those ABs with the real thing, when there's no Leslie simulation on, the B5 sounds nearly indistinguishable. It's the Leslie that, to me, brings it back into VI land. I think the B5 with Melda would probably sound excellent. Someone who's got both on GS remarked that when running both Hammr+ and B5 through the Melda Leslie, they're extremely similar.
The other thing is, in the Hammr+ video with Mikey Rowe or whatever that dude's name is, he's playing cool, moody stuff that I'm immediately drawn to where in every B5 demo I can find it's ALL GOSPEL ALL THE TIME.
Thinking out loud.

It's close. But I didn't like the way they did the tests though. I can def hear a difference between the B5 and the A100, and the differences I hear are what I'd call "realness" which is one of my primary concerns.
But the comparison is flawed from my perspective. What's weird is that I NEVER listen to a hammond without a leslie, so that whole test is useless for me. I mean, I can hear the similarities, but I also hear some differences that I think would be substantial with a leslie attached. And they don't have a test of Real Hammond / Real Leslie against B5 sim and B5 sim leslie. I wonder if that's by design?? THAT's what I really wanted to hear. I don't care about the B5 with leslie against B5 with Sim. Also, although you "see" the leslie, I wonder if they just pulled up random shots, because I could definitely hear the sound speeding up/slowing down, and visually it wasn't in sync. Weird. I'm at a loss. More confused than before I looked at it.

In the Hammr+ video for example when they go back to the stock rotary emulation it (after you’ve been listening to it through the Melda) it sounds a little toy-ish. I think that B5 direct sound is about as close to the Hammond as I’d expect anybody to be able to get so I’m just putting 2 and 2 together and surmising that the B5 with the Melda may be about as good as the Hammr+ with the Melda.

I noticed today that there are organ pedal sounds in that Hammr+ demo, you just don’t see them on the GUI. But there are low octave organ notes in what he’s playing and they’re not represented on the keys shown in the GUI.
