I bought it but I haven't used it a lot. I think it sounds excellent on bass guitar, in my first uses.
Anyone else using the PSP NobleQ or other PSP EQ's? They seem to have some standouts. Master Q2 for example, I think is spectacular on mix bus.

I bought NobleQex eons ago but haven't used it ages. The update reminded me of it so I'll likely try it out again. It'd be nice to discover if it shines brighter than my other plugs, even if on only one thing,

I used to use it quite a bit. I like the top end a lot but the low band isn't so great. I found it took away punch when using it on a drum buss or kick drum. When comparing to Softube Tubetech EQs, the ST has a much better low end but I preferred the high band of NobleQex. It's been a few years since I stopped using it. Maybe I will give it another try.

I bought it at that price a few years ago. It's a really sold, good sounding EQ.

You need to use the Noble Qex to try the low end right. Also I like to dial back the tube. Very cool Pultec that has its place. They’re all different and suit different material. Another good and cheap weapon from a great developer.

PSP is killing it with updating plugs for free. Now a ton of their older plugs are VST 3 for sample accurate automation, Apple Silicon native, and have accurate latency resporting. Infinistrip just got hi rez graphics today.
They fixed the latency reporting bug in MasterQ2 I reported a while back.
Waves and Steinberg TAKE NOTICE! TDR and PSP fix their bugs when you report them and don't wait 6 months to a year to charge you money for them.

If you look around you'll see its widely loved on RGO. I pretty much only use it on snare drum but it's excellent for that purpose.

Weirdly this thread (and ONLY this thread) won’t load on my desktop browser 🤷🏼♂️ While I totally love PSP and TDR, I’m going to push back a bit and say I filed a really detailed bug report to TDR months and months ago about a pretty serious issue and it’s been total silence from them. When using an AAX version of ANY of their plugs, if you choose a preset as a starting point and make any changes any time you use another instance of that plug-in the session and choose that same preset, all of the changes you made on another instance are now there in the new instance. For example, put SLICK EQ GE on a channel and choose TAPE 101, it’s got a 1.7 dB boost on the mids @ 10k. Change those to a 3.0 dB boost at 8k then insert another instance of SLICK EQ on another channel, choose TAPE 101 and it will have a 3.0 dB Boost @ 8k!! It happens on the compressors, EQs, everything. It’s a pretty big problem with their preset system - I even sent them a GIF of it happening but didn’t get a response

You’d have to copy one over to test it out, but if it works, it’d be a workaround, at least.

It only started happening with their last round of updates. I’ve reported bugs in the past and they were super responsive so no doubt this is a fluke - they are a great company - as are PSP! Super excited they’ve updated the 2245 and Springbox

I’ve reported bugs in the past and they were super responsive so no doubt this is a fluke - they are a great company I've now created so many useful presets for TDR's Slick EQ GE that I've filled every one of their 42 internal preset positions (it comes with 22 factory presets + space for just 20 user ones), so am now relying on saving future ones via Reaper. This beats trying to decide which of my existing TDR presets to delete to make space for another.
