Was approached this week about carrying something really cool for SM7B microphones. I know a lot of people use Cloud Lifters or an in-line box of similar nature to get some extra gain out of their SM7B before hitting a preamp. I was approached by Truman Audio to co-brand their Anser Preamp and install the mod into SM7Bs. The great thing about this product is that it eliminates the need for a second mic cable and an in-line box. You can also bypass the boost circuit if you want to use the SM7B like normal. The mod will be $150 USD or $549 in a brand new SM7B. Attachments:

Cool, I just ABed an SM7B against the new China Clone by Thomann called BC 500. Nothing sounds like the original. Cool idea with the MOD.

Back plates have been printed and parts are in transit! Will have a working demo in the next week or so.

Got a working demo built. Initial thoughts is it sounds great, and by that I mean it doesn't add any color. Just clean gain. It uses the same transistors found in the well-known cloud lifter boxes. This just allows you to lose the extra mic cable and in-line box.
