2,000 £ each, no wonder the pros are using them.
Great idea, but as you need at least 2, that’s a quick 5 grand .

They are basically a microphone that picks up the pressure in the room triggering a speaker to fire into a dampened speaker box. Interesting idea.

So: do the two signals phase cancel each other? That's my take on it. The mic processes the low frequencies and the circuit/amp inverts the waveform and a speaker/transducer applies an equal but opposite reaction to null the waveforms out. Pretty much how noise cancelling headphones work. |

Wonder if they would work in a church hall, or a live venue? They would if you had lots of them - but an extremely expensive outcome. I have heard of 6 being used in live recording rooms to even out the LF response.
