Suppose I were asking for a friend, or making suggestions to a company I might promote/evangelize just a little . . .
I'd love to know what you all think would be the essential 500 series EQ modules to offer alongside the amazing 1029 microphone preamp.

Let’s face it you say Neve EQ and everybody thinks 10 series but I will admit a completely different love for my Lawson based on the Prism it’s just a great problem solver.

I think Heritage got it really right with the idea of the class A circuit 1290 with the 1081 frequency ranges. Haven’t heard one of those Elite 1081s though. Wasn’t blown away by the 73. Wish AS would do their 1290 with expanded midrange eq.

I've always lusted after a BAE1028 for the same reason (https://www.baeaudio.com/products/1028) If AS did an EQ, I'd love to see them do something custom/expanded.

AS, if you guys are thinking about going down this road I have 2 corners I beg you not to cut. 1. Give me a transformer on the line in!!! Had the inexpensive Heritage, If I really want the sound of a Classic Neve at mix I had to pad the signal and bring it in via the mic input, the line input was great for clean but if I wanted the Neve sound had to use the mic in. 2. Don’t skimp on the PSU, yeah that little laptop PSU was OK, but a nice 24V brick gave the thing balls. Plus no offense guys but selling direct your not going to be selling to California based “public spaces” sorry but most of that is the world of bids written with the help of dealers.

I see sanity has prevailed in the polls.
