I’ve been tempted several times, but never pulled the trigger. I think Ward was considering a G12 at one point? Not sure if he ended up getting one or not…

I use the G12 and like it. Sort of a 57/121 combination in one mic, although in direct comparison, it sounds a bit darker than the original combination, even if switched to the bright position. Still, a great mic for guitar cabs, but you can't use it for anything else. I got interested after seeing that Kevin Shirley uses it.

The price is cheap enough that I wouldn't mind if that were it's sole use, provided I really liked it. The G12 certainly seems interesting.

I’ve been tempted several times, but never pulled the trigger. I think Ward was considering a G12 at one point? Not sure if he ended up getting one or not… I put off getting one when all the shipping & Handling charges were 150% more than the mic itself. There are daily flights between Miami and Johannesburg. Shouldn't be that expensive to send a simple 2 pound package. Maybe they've fixed that. I'll check into it again. I use the 57/121 combi religiously. with two mics, I can vary the balance and EQ the track just by balancing between the levels. But still intrigued with the TUL!

I have both the F47 and G12 and they both just crush. The F47 wins on a lot of vocals and is great outside kick. The G12 lives on guitar amps and sounds just like the amp. Highly recommended!

Back in June I was told it was $80 to ship the G12, but also charged duty and tax.
