Surprising news to me. They posted this on their website: I can’t like this post because it makes me to sad. I’m surprised we haven’t seen more of this as of late. Thanks for bringing this up, now how much do you think a KHE just gained in value?

Sad to see smaller places unable to operate. The supply chain issue is affecting more and more small businesses.
Only those who operate at scale can wait out this current mess. It does not bode well for audio gear in general as there are so many “short-run” production cycles making a few items at a time.

It looks like this was announced back in on 31-5-21. Gotta feel grateful for those the manufacturers that are still able to work and deliver us quality products.

I hate it too, but the realty is also BIG Computer-Apple has problems with the supply chain.
I assume we will see more of those announcements. It's a good moment to think of alternative parts which are environmental friendly, produced at the same time. Laws in this direction will come anyway - sooner or later.
EDIT:
I read the original German announcement. Sorry to say it, but it sounds more like that they give up the business.

Sad news. I wish them well.
Somehow the USA economy has grown a lot this year? Not really sure how that works but I saw some number put to it like 6.5% growth.

Nice, but the problem is getting the parts. Corona makes this very difficult in the electronic market ....

Oh yeah, for sure. I've had to deep six my ideas to get Ed Anderson and Cinemag parts. I've got a few project pending too that I've had to change directions on.

Consider how many people have been paying more to have basics delivered and how much has been spent on the Virus, add in all the used purchases at a higher price because you have scarce new products and you can see there might be growth, the question is will it continue?

There is a question that comes to mind:
Does Average-Joe have money to buy expensive microphones?
I don't know about small one man shows in the USA, but here in EU my business is not doing well. What I hear from friends and colleagues doesn't sound much better.
I wish I could tell a different story.
At least, I am still happy.... .-))

This brings up one of the major things Wall ST doesn’t get, growth is pretty meaningless as to the health of company, profit is what keeps you going. All kinds of companies with great growth but at a loss.

There is also the obvious fact that there is no longer a music business to sustain the industry of recording studios and hardware production.

Really sad! And one of the best microphone companies in history.

Will never forget the first time singing into the VM-1! Then years later working with the non-tube ones - Phanthera & Phantom - as well as the VMX & Valvet. Incredible sound &, of course, craftsmanship. Regret never having heard the collaboration between Dirk & Klaus.
