That does look cool.
I always wanted to buy a Shadow Hills, I think it's the classic answer for your question.
I mean, i like the sound and features of the SH Master Compressor, but I would really buy it to feel that I mixing inside a submarine.

Not sure if this really counts, but it's along the same lines. I have a couple of reels of old 2" tape siting in special locations in the A room. I just like the way it looks and kinda adds to the vibe. I don't own any tape machines, so it qualifies as useless but cool-looking.
