+1 for Carl Saff. Great ears, a great guy and criminally cheap for his skill set.

I usually use either Kitchen Mastering ($$$) or Scott Craggs at Old Colony Mastering ($$) depending on client budget. Some do a shoot-out and then think about their budget.

This thread came at a good time for me. I was just finishing up mixing a project, and for reasons personal, technical, and geographical I wanted to reach out to a new mastering engineer. Four engineers listed in this thread really piqued my interest so I reached out to all of them re fees and availability. The result? Two never got back to me, and a third dropped the ball badly and didn't respond till I was well past my deadline. The fourth person I contacted, Scott Craggs of Old Colony Mastering responded in a timely manner and I scheduled a session. It couldn't have gone better--friendly, helpful, great ears, great room, and all at DIY friendly price. Highly recommended!
