It's actually probably not as adorable as you might think. Asian children routinely get pressured into and heavily groomed to do things like this as prestige for the parents in SE asian countries.
They're subjected to punishment and solitude to do things like this because of the cultural desire to have children who excel at things.

Those animated arms on the bottom shaker parts are bizarre, but when she started singing I was in for it. It's just weird enough for me.

Lots of people all over the world do things so their kids can excel.

I think it is a little bit too judgmental and perhaps even unintentionally racist. I do not mean to demean you at all in posting this. I get it that it is coming from a good place. But there are unintended consequences to these public statements. *edited out unnecessary emotional reply* an asian friend who explained to me about how these videos are exploitive of asian children. I'm just explaining what was told to me.

To be clear, I am not saying that there was no exploitation. I do not know. But I am also not going to assume the worse either just because they are young kids of a particular culture. Exploitation of children is a world-wide issue. (JonBenét Patricia Ramsey and young children in fashion shows in the U.S.? Are they exploited?)

Thank you, Svart. I think there is something cold about communications by email and on line compared to being around campfires and chatting in person. I can do better with my posts. I really relate to the intent of your first post about this. I just did not want to single out particular cultures. Too many people in many cultures, of all colors, etc., are experiencing too much fear. (Not that this is anything new either!)
And sadly, I know a lot of people who are in fear of just sharing what they really think, or they will be canceled, so to speak.

I found it rather stilted and I think young children always sing a wee bit flat and it bugs me ..,
... and of course parental projection ... I saw the same with my own kids in basketball with parents screaming from the sidelines(hey that a pretty cool song title!) and it was pretty pathetic. To get these “performances” from such young kids just does not look natural to me.

What struck me was how many hours of practice it would take to play that way and on all of the instruments vs. how old she actually is. There's a good portion of her short life that has been used up for this. Then look at the song...seriously?...Hotel California? Tell me that's a song a child her age would naturally gravitate toward. And finally, do you see any enjoyment here, any joy in her actions, face, or voice? Is she having fun? Not that I see. That's telling. This is someone wanting recognition at the expense of their child. And I've had two kids grow up through sports in the US, and I've seen all the horrors of the pathetic parents screaming at their kids, the officials, and other parents. It goes beyond just living vicariously through the child, as bad as that is. We just don't let kids be kids anymore.
