Hi everyone! NEW INFO: The RGO Spring EQuinox Zoom Hangout Party will be THIS SATURDAY NIGHT (April 10, 2021) at 8pm EDT (which is GMT -4). Should be a lot of fun. If you can't drop in until later, no big deal. Give us a try - we might still be going. It was a five hour rager last time. Here's the link: us02web.zoom.us/j/82803211249?pwd=bkl0a0RJeVFSa0oxRnFFL3pRazFUQT09Remember, when you click through the link, you'll go to a "waiting room," where I'll click you in. You'll be muted automatically upon entry. See you there! -Mark --------------- Original Message: teejay and I were messaging a few days ago about the possibility of doing another Zoom hangout party like the one back in December. We were both commenting about how much we enjoyed that one - it was great meeting more of you "in person" and having a chance to hear (rather than just read) each others' voices. I'd be happy to host it again. Todd and I were talking about which weekend to shoot for, and we were thinking maybe either Fri April 9 or Sat April 10. Is anybody interested in doing this with us? Are either of those nights (well, North American nights...) doable for folks? Who's in? If there's enough interest to pull it off, I'll put together a similar evening like last time, with a couple general questions to ponder in advance. I hope we can make this happen! Cheers! -Mark

Thanks for initiating, Mark!
Last time I think there were a number of guys who would have attended but somehow missed the thread. If there's a way to get this advertised without bombarding the forum that would be good.
Looking forward to connecting again with those who attended before, and any who can make it this time.

Either the 9 or 10 would work for me at the moment. I'm down.

I believe I can do either evening. I'm getting my second shot on the 9th, so I might be all kinds of loopy, which might make it even more fun.

Driving to Kansas City the 9th to record with my bandmate Nick over the weekend. Would definitely hop on either night though.
Edit: and thanks, Mark! Very cool of you to organize another one.

Was fun to share and always dig sharing the DIY thing. So much of what we strive for can be done with some pretty basic tools. I really enjoyed the time getting to know you a bit, Mark, and seeing some faces, so hope this happens in April. Good times, brother. Looking forward to it.

Yeah I'm interested for sure, would love to talk to some RGO people! I'm not so good with staying up late but I hope I can make it. More of an early bird.

I know this isn't a "Classifieds" thread, but in an effort to maintain visibility...bump.

I know this isn't a "Classifieds" thread, but in an effort to maintain visibility...bump. Yes - thanks, Todd. I was thinking about this yesterday and today and just hadn't had a chance to update it. So we are ON for NEXT FRIDAY NIGHT (4/9). I really only picked Friday because svart was the only one who expressed a preference between Fri or Sat. If there are several of you who can't make it Fri but could make it on Sat, let us know in this thread. It's not too late. I will post the Zoom link in this thread as we get closer to the date. There are TWO questions I would humbly ask you to consider beforehand: - What is a piece of gear (or workflow provided by that gear) you've been loving lately? (And can you show it to us??)
- As you look ahead at the next 3-6 months what is something you are either: A. Excited about, or B. Discouraged by?
*I want to note that for either question, it doesn't necessarily have to be music-related. As I see it, my role as facilitator is to make sure everyone has room to speak and be heard, even if they have a quiet voice. If you have a public speaking concern, or for whatever reason don't want to talk, just send me a PM here at RGO in advance (or text me through the Zoom interface during the event), and I'll be sure to help you achieve your goals for the night. Thanks, everybody!

I plan to work next Friday evening (Covering Boss-who's out of Town then). So... If it stretches past 9PM Pacific Time/Daylight Savings, I can visit. Thanks, Chris P.S. I can be a little earlier on Saturday (ETA 8:15 PM), but want whatever is best for the Group.

Saturday for me.... Sunday here.... Peter, are you saying you'd prefer Saturday night (North American time zone), because that would make it Sunday for you? Just want to make sure I understand...

I think Saturday would be a better choice because Friday is still a part of the work week. The last Zoom party was good fun, I'd love to do it again.
Being a musician, as soon I typed "do it again', I started hearing the Beach Boys singing it!
