Ever since I got the Audio Thing Type A I’ve been thinking of getting a real Dolby rack unit for that. Does anybody have one? I can get a 364 (cinema version) that seems similar to the 361. The CAT 22 card modification for the Dolby trick is explained here: www.audiothing.net/blog/the-dolby-a-trick/Before I jump in, I’d rather poll the collective RGO think tank... Edit: it looks like the 364 only decodes Dolby, so I’m not sure how it can be used or modified to encode.

I don't have either, but for a modern hardware implementation there's also the Standard Audio Stretch.

Get the C4 plug-in and compress the high frequencies more and boost them. There's a vocal presets that does this in there.

I love my 365, but I don’t use it often enough and am considering selling it.
