Nope, not the magical coherence from just the right bus comp: What’s the best adhesive for a fallen-off mic badge? It’s my Stam 67. Thanks!

I think the gold standard is some 3M automotive adhesive. I have seen this same stuff used as the only thing holding on a rear spoiler and said spoiler making it through an automated car wash no worse for ware.

When I got a TLM67 and the MaxMod 67 kit I removed the fugly George Neumann head, filled the holes, sanded and painted. As part of that, I removed the Neumann badge and painted it black. I think I just used some Super Glue to put it back on. It's still on there so I guess it worked.

Per Klaus Heyne (https://repforums.prosoundweb.com/index.php/topic,37280.0.html) E6000 craft glue works well.

How much all in did it cost to make the TLM 67 into a this gorgeous creation? What type of patchbay? Do you recommend?

How much all in did it cost to make the TLM 67 into a this gorgeous creation? What type of patchbay? Do you recommend? Thanks! I do love that mic. I got an exceptionally good deal because I bought the TLM67 with the MaxMod kit already installed. I got mine for about $2k. The usual way is to find a deal on a used TLM67 (typically around $1700 or so) and then buy Max's U67 guts (around $900 last I checked). I also got a lovely NOS Telefunken EF86 from bowie, which was around $150. The paint job was just rattle can. Not a perfect match but pretty close. So paint and clear coat, maybe $10. I already had stuff like sandpaper and bondo and a heat gun (for getting rid of that damn George Neumann head badge and carefully removing the smaller Neumman badge). As far as patchbays, I've never had anything higher end/TT or anything. I just use the cheap Neutrik TRS bays for I/O. I also have an ART XLR bay at the bottom of my rack just to have an easy place to plug in mics. Goes to the mic pre inputs and then the mic pre outputs go up to the TRS bays for routing through whatever else on their way to the interface I/O.

I think chad kelly recommended "3M Emblem Adhesive" I believe you can get it at some of the big box hardware stores, or just order online.
