I'm generally running 12 channels for drum tracking. Kick in Kick out Snare 57 top Snare 012 top Snare bot Tom 1 Tom 2 Tom 2 Stereo overheads Stereo room I'm running from the bottom to the top on this sidecar. After the eq, I'm multing to pro tools and the Tonelux summing mixer. From the summing mixer I run into a pair of inputs on my Midas console for monitoring.

That is real nice!
We have some of the same stuff. I've got 8ch of Phoenix DRS here(6 with eq), a BT50, VP312, VP28s, dbx 560a's... cool.
I dig it.

That's beautiful. I'd definitely love a pair of the TX5Cs and a pair of those Foote comps. A few channels of DRS would be nice, too.

That’s a whole lot of lovely gear there sir That’s more gear than most A rooms in ATL. Wow! Post them samples let them feel & hear the greatness!!! Man I forgot all about the Foote Control Systems Compressors .. That dude makes some amazing compressors. I wanted that P3S & another model he makes for the longest. Hopefully things pick up soon for me so I can get some new HW

How you liking that Tonelux summing mixer? Do you only use it for monitoring, or do you also use it during mixing? Literally haven't used it yet, but the plan is only for monitoring while tracking.

It's glorious, inspiring, you can hear the tone even from the picture. Your racks always have a distinctive style.
I'm wondering about your "template." Do you do bus compression on the whole kit? Bus EQ? Group the toms or anything like that?

Mammoth Audio is a throwback! Hopefully, our good friend Josh's company doesn't end up going the way of Mammoth Cave Audio...

What do you typically use those Tonelux EQ5P on? How are they on toms? That's exactly what I'm using them on. I've got them set up on my floor toms. I'm planning to add another one to replace the Midas on my rack tom. I love the flexibility of them.

Awesome looking and very ergonomic. I wouldn't expect anything less from you! Prior to this setup, I was basically using the same gear, but the 500 preamps were sitting on the top right side of a 3 bay rack. The Phoenix pre was the top left of that same rack, the EQ's were bottom left of that rack, and the compressors were in a rack to the right of my console. It was the complete opposite of ergonomic. This should be a huge workflow improvement.

It's glorious, inspiring, you can hear the tone even from the picture. Your racks always have a distinctive style. I'm wondering about your "template." Do you do bus compression on the whole kit? Bus EQ? Group the toms or anything like that? I assume you mean for mixing? Basically, every track will have Pro-Q3 as the first insert doing high pass, low pass, a wide - high freq boost, a tighter low mid cut, and a little bump around the fundamental note. For drums, I start with my 12 tracks. Kick In and Kick Out - Both get treatment separately, then get sent to a mono buss for treatment as a single sound, then that buss gets sent to the drum buss. Generally pro-q - purple77 - pro-q - pro-l Snare 57, 012, bottom - All get treatment separately, then get sent to a mono buss for treatment as a single sound, then that buss gets sent to the drum buss. Snare buss is also sent to a snare verb buss. Generally pro-q - purple77 - pro-q - pro-l Snare Verb Buss - Pro-Q for shaping before the verb, then usually PSP 2445 Toms - All individual treatment, then sent to the drum buss. Pro-q - Pro-l Overheads - No individual treatment, sent to an overhead buss, treated there as a stereo unit, then sent to drum buss. Pro-1 - Millenia Comp Room - No individual treatment, sent to a room buss, treated there as a stereo unit, then sent to drum buss. This totally varies. Sometimes I'm looking for smash, sometimes mild room sound. Drum Buss - Usually Pro-Q for shaping followed by either BX_Townhouse or Shadow Hills Comp. PS - Don't tell dan though because he'll say all these plugins are garbage. Hahahaha

I have a pair of Electras that I basically use in the same way that you do for toms. I keep beating around the bush on getting a second pair of Electras, but I might be convinced to get a pair of the Tonelux instead. What do you like about the Tonelux eqs?

I think they're cleaner sounding than my CAPI BT50s, but definitely have more soul than my Midas board EQ's. I haven't used the Electras, but have heard good things about them. I've considered those as well.
