Anyone using this? Worth 30 dollars? I’m trying to be more careful in the plugs that I buy. I don’t want to buy something just because it’s cheap, which is what I often do. I’ve got more plugins than I’ll ever use. Is this special enough to warrant a purchase?

Yes. It’s Fuse quality but done by Ray Dratwa in collaboration with others www.neold.com/team. It’s pretty much a Fuse plug of cleaner/classier equipment that’s more usable by cleaner productions. The V76 and u73b are awesome. Zero aliasing. Compressor behaves as expected and can smack things down with fast attack, fast release, and eventual 100:1 ratio. It just makes Slate and UAD sound dirty and poorly behaved.

For me the outstanding ones are:
The SSLs G + E Strips they do sound a lot like the real thing in mix time.
(Love and Hate Relationship, but great if I do Pop - Rock things).
SPL IRON + PassQ Heard the Iron vs the Hardware extremely close too, and I guess the PassQ is not different from this. PassQ just is a sweet better maker without ever sounding bad, its unbelievable that I overlooked this thing for years. Clean EQ with a broad stroke nice very sweet.
EDIT: Forgot to mention the purple mc 77 which sounds nearly 1:1 like my hardware 1176s
For me those companies are the big surprise of 2020 for me there is no need anymore for UAD or Waves. They are on the same level.

Metric AB if you do A/B listens during mixing all the Console channel strips, they are seriously all good Unfiltered Audio if you do sound design/FX Knifonium if you want a vibey ITB synthesizer bx Sub synth for that bass enhancement thing, very good version of this effect all the Ampeg bass amps, the Friedman BE100 guitar amp DSM3 is unique and seemingly "special" bx Control for mix bus Transient Designer for punching up kicks and snares take your own pick of all the EQ's and Compressors. there are too many to list. Comparable to UAD, black rooster, etc.

I might be the only one still using Townhouse but it’s my fav SSL style bus compressor plug-in I’ve used.

I'm always looking for stuff that betterizes...but I every time I go to buy something now, I think..."I've got 4 plugs that already do that..."

I'm always looking for stuff that betterizes...but I every time I go to buy something now, I think..."I've got 4 plugs that already do that..." I've got so many plugins I try to find things I don't have covered 6 times over. Right now, that seems to be orchestral instruments, samples, mastering type things. The latest "normal" plugin I bought that really got me excited was the Black Rooster VLA-3A. If that's what an LA-3A is supposed to sound like, then wow.

Thanks for all the great suggestions!

I owned nothing from plug-in alliance before 2020 and ended up spending $419 with them by the end of the year. Not a fan of subscriptions, but I could've planned that better to get the $250 annual subscription with the instant $250 voucher instead, but you know, hindsight is...

Yeah, as far as I know PA has the most AAX DSP plugins. We have a year of the mega bundle subscription. We will decide what to buy over the course of the year. There's some other AAX DSP plugins I've got recently that I like from Sonnox, Metric Halo, McDSP, Avid, and Empirical Labs.
