Nice, but pricey for unverified signatures of 2 AE’s maybe if John and Paul had signed it, maybe.

I want to message the seller and ask how much it would cost if he took some 91% isopropyl alcohol and removed those awful signatures from such a thing of beauty.

I love how they say "favored by Paul and John" as if they had ANY choice in the matter...

Yeh I’m all for knowing ‘potential’ history on a piece of gear, but these things aren’t baseball cards! ...What’s next an EMI bumper sticker?

Nor did he care.

WILL NOT SHIP OVERSEAS - that's pretty steep, considering it was once shipped overseas in the first place. We should have kept this over here. Ah. too bad, I'll take my 40,000 elsewhere.

I dunno, if I'm buying something that expensive I'm getting on a plane, doing a full inspection, collecting in person, arranging transport myself. Definitely not leaving it to chance. What's another couple grand? But...this is kinda stupid. Someone had an EMI tube line amp no one had ever heard of up for sale for a similar price a few years ago. Wonder where that ended up.....back in the same guy's closet I suspect.

Now John Lennon's infamous "cracked" 57. I'd pay TWO Hundred dollars for that. Cash! Chris

Interesting that they have 4 or 5 classic mics, and then the entire Rode lineup. Those things always sound broke to me.

Funny little story if I may . . . a few years back, I was asked to engineer and produce a record in a remote location, well, out in the sticks to be honest. So I went out for a visit, to get the general idea. Their 'arsenal' of mics included a bunch of Røde mics and the co-owner said to me "oh these are what all the guys in Nashville are using these days". "Oh really" I replied, and knew I wasn't going to be able to go any further. My inner voice wanted to blurt out "probably works well with a Mackie and a pair of ADATs". But I bit my tongue.

Yeah I see them all over Nashville, every studio has a RODE, as a paperweight.

Actually, I know wiz uses one of their mics and his tracks always sound great - so maybe they have a few usable mics in their lineup. I didn’t mean to come off like a pretentious jerk of anything. Just every one I’ve ever used or owned was just plain awful sounding.

You're someone I would welcome the opportunity to work with some day. you're a righteous mofo with a conscience. You're not alone, as I've previously indicated.

I still think T-Funk and Rode should co-create and make the...
Copperhead Rode Special Steve Earl Signature Edition. Maybe complete with a "pre-Stressed"/Dented Mic Body. (Cue "You're Still The One") Chris

I have a load of experience with rode mics.. .having owned and or used most of their line up over the years. The only one I have left, is the Rode NTR... all my acoustic gutiars, Reso, dobro, 6 string banjo etc is what its used on. Its an absolutely killer mic , regardless of the price and warranty which are both really really good... its also a ribbon that you don't have to baby at all..... The rest of the line up, suits a price target...meaning they are all good to very good, at their price point against the competition. Where rode is simply unbeatable is their warranty. I had them replace capsules on mics well out of warranty with no cost, and free shipping back to me. Hard to beat. The original Rode Classic was really really good. At the time when I first got into them, early 90s, there was really only Rode and AT available at that price point here in Oz, which was the first affordable LDC I came across at that time. cheers Wiz
