Reports it is bricking 2012-13 mbps, no way round it.
Best don’t update until Apple clarifies if there is a fix.

Why would anybody update right away? What’s the rush? Especially if you use your machine for income... makes absolutely no sense.

I just upgraded my Mac Pro to Mojave and have no intention to go further. My office iMac had Catalina, what a mess. I'm glad I finally downgraded that machine to Mojave too.

Mountain Lion, STILL, on my Mac Pros (the twins). Because everything works and I do not use it on-line. Ever. I'm considering Mojave for 2021. I have a new-never-used 2016 MBPro that I haven't even plugged in yet. Still hammering away on my 2010 MBPro 15". Maybe I'll turn it on and see what happens, soon. Maybe. Maybe I'm a luddite.

Ward - I'd be careful with your 2010 MBP. I went to a new 16" MBP recently as I wanted to use LUNA and my 2011 17" MBP couldn't update to the necessary OS. About 10 days later the old MBP fails to boot on start up with apparent failure of memory/motherboard - no longer supported so no repair option. Motherboard had previously been replaced while still supported when it suffered video failure - and had displayed no issues since. 10 hard years of use so can't really complain - but was surprised that it gave no warning prior to failure.

Don't do Mojave. Im not sure how old your Mac Pros are but I went to mine on an older one using the Dos Dude side loader. it did work, however you can't upgrade the GPU. I they are 5,1 macs you might be okay. I went to High Serria instead and put a GT640 4GB card in it and it works good. Still pretty slow at times though, which is why ultimately I just moved my HDX stuff to my PC.

I've stayed at High Sierra with a 2012 iMac and a 2014 MBP, still have an '08 MBP on whatever the last thing it'll take (10.11?). Probably be replacement machines before anything gets newer.
