Has anyone upgraded from RX7 Standard to RX8 Standard?
Most interested in the DeBleed Plug In? Used it?
Cheers

Yes, have only tried rebalance so far, that’s an enormous step up from 7.

BTW in that other thread you talked about denoising acoustic guitars. Thought about it but I don't get the point... Can you elaborate a bit?

I'm also wondering if the upgrade is worth it. I'm not a heavy user.

I upgraded from RX6 to RX8 Advanced. Also wasn't sure if I needed it but the guitar module alone is what got me, super handy. The rebalance was also nice to pull a touch of vocal bleed out of OH's from a live session.

Rebal is so improved it will make you rethink when to apply de-bleed.

It's on your Izotope account, but I can see it in other stores. So you can shop around for the best upgrade price, just make sure you pick the correct versions.

Rebal is so improved it will make you rethink when to apply de-bleed. Maybe I need the upgrade after all... I've been sent a finished track that has some existing programmed drums (light brushes) to overdub real drums on top of it, mix it and "master" it. It turned out great, but if you know what the original track was, you can probably hear some of the old drums here and there. Would you confidently use rebalance here to turn down those drums a little bit? Or would it turn "artifacty" and lose the quality?

I took a mono audience omni mic of a club show, and turned the vocals and guitars OFF, leaving drums and bass. I can turn the bass OFF. I can turn the drums OFF. I can turn OFF a guy yelling in my ear who's louder than the music, leaving minimal artifacts. This was not possible in RX7. If you want to remix Beatles stems, you can mostly do that now.

It wasn't obvious to me how much that's been improved in 8.

I bought it.... and.... the one plug I wanted to try... De Bleed... Doesn't show up in Logic... LOL
Its not there in the plug in manager....
I can see it if I load RX8 Standalone...
Tried all the usual fixes... no go.. have a ticket in with Izotope.
Anyone using RX8 In logic.. can you see if you have the De Bleed plug in available?
Cheers
Wiz
PS the Music rebalance thing is quite remarkable...really...

Wow, it does, but it's not in the online manual as a plug-in, and I don't have it on the plug list in DP.
