Anybody used one of these?
The features seem to be cool for the price, but how does it sound?

Their SSL-style compressor is outstanding. Haven't heard this one though.

Their SSL-style compressor is outstanding. Haven't heard this one though. It interests me because it's varimu and seems easy to use. It seems like it could be useful during tracking and on mix bus.

They're a very reputable company with some highly regarded gear. but the TKomp isn't a Vari-Mu, it is similar to a vari-mu in operation. I'm sure it's a quality piece. And while you're making up your mind, Can I interest you in an audioscape V-Comp for true vari-mu AMAZINGNESS and AWESOMESAUCE? #ASAF

It's VCA, set up to work like a varimu which, if it works just as well, doesn't really concern me one way or the other. I actually do have an interest in getting a V-Comp eventually, but I was just going to get one, not two, which is what I would need for stereo bus work. I'm kind of on a search for a stereo bus comp at the moment, that can also pull double duty during tracking, hence the questions about the T-Komp

Already sold... Though, I have to say, I'm on the fence about a V-Comp, at least as far as purchasing one before I get some other things I'd like. I still would like one eventually. I'm still on the hunt for a stereo comp that can pull bus duty as well as tracking duty. The Heritage 609 is still calling to me. So is a stereo opto comp like the Sebatron SMAC, Buzz SOC, or the Manley ELOP. And then there's possibly a varimu style comp like the T-Komp. I'd love a Manley Varimu, but that's way more than I need to be spending right now. As far as stereo bus compressors goes, I already have an Overstayer SVC as well as an Overstayer FET. So I'm looking at other flavors of bus comps that can also be used for tracking. Decisions....

I hear you, what about Audioscape D?

I hear you, what about Audioscape D? There's that one too. Though I could see where I might use the the 609 on the main mix at times but maybe not the D-comp so much. Is anybody using their D-comp on main mix? I always hear about it with drums.

Daking just released a new multi mono / stereo comp called the Comp II. It’s $1399, built in the USA. Channels can be linked or used independently for 2 separate sources. Here is an excerpt from Daking on it “ Unique among VCA compressor designs, the Daking Comp II uses feedback gain reduction, a peak detector, and an all-discrete class-A follower. Its outboard power supply is quiet and ready to travel the world. Inputs and outputs are balanced, and its flat frequency response extends out to 65kHz for high-resolution recording.“ www.transaudiogroup.com/products/daking/daking-compressors/comp-ii/

I know Daking makes great stuff. That being said, I've been interested in an opto or varimu style stereo comp specifically because of the forgiving nature of those compression styles. Does this Daking unit have a similar sort of forgiving nature? The simplicity of the knobs would lead one to think that it might. Also, I do already have an Overstayer SVC, so I don't know it this would be too much overlapping territory, as the SVC is also a VCA comp? But I am gonna read up on this.
