I just purchased a matched pair of SR-2n, and I realize that the matched pair comes with a stereo shock mount, which would be great for Blumlein or M/S, but I'm looking at what shock mounts are out there for using these SR-2n individually, on something like a guitar amp.
What shockmounts do you guys like to use for the SR-2n? How necessary are they?

Was it the newer mkIII sr2n or the MkII version? These: vintageking.com/stager-microphones-sr-2n-matched-pairI just bought them new from Vintage King, since they were on sale. I'm not aware of different versions of the SR-2n, but, being as the pair I bought were brand new, I feel safe in saying that they must be the latest version. Unless you know something I don't?

I’ll bet there is a Rycote that would work ! I would PM my favorite gear pimp Mr Kennedy and see what kind of deal he could put together!

Get them straight from Stager. Essentially they are half the stereo mount.
There are 3 versions of the mic now, yours is mkII. MkIII was just announced this week.
Congrats!

What's the difference between MKII and MKIII? I hadn't heard about this. I'm guessing that's why they were on sale then.

Only the appearance I think. I don’t think the mic can get any better sonically...
It’s not even up on his site, I saw it on Facebook maybe. Don’t worry about it!

I guess the only real change is that you can now use standard mic clips. I don't see the single shock mounts available on the Stager site. I guess I'll have to email him.

I use this whatever-tech.com/best-shockmounts-for-blue-yeti-reviews/ (Blue Radius II 4692). I really like its design. It is reliable in use and it is durable. It is also strong. And it's really intuitive to set up and use right away. The only downside for me and for most is that it is quite heavy. And so the Blue Radius II 4692 is really cool
