For some reason I had totally ignored this plugin. It's on sale (half off) so I read a bit about it, got excited, and downloaded the demo. OMG!!!!!!!! All I could think of is "this is cheating". Instant everything! Now I need to know: where do you use it? Which settings? I know Paul Frindle advises 100% effect, 50% curve, no 0 clip. Is there any DOWNside to it? I'm sure it can be overdone, but it's hard to find something that doesn't sound better with it. Come on, spill the beans for me...

You know - I have heard about people using it forever, but always thought it was a limiter. Watched some videos and that looks pretty badass. Gonna have to check out.

I think it's more of a wave shaper (distortion, saturation) than a limiter, adding even or odd harmonics depending on the setting.
I don't have it right now but I do miss using it sometimes. It's very effective for pumping up a mix, pre limiter.

Yeah - exactly how I just used it. Damnit. Now I gotta buy it. Wonder if I should do Native or UAD?

I'd have to do the 4 for $399 or it wouldn't make sense with UAD...but I was thinking about a few other plugs. Is it a hog in Native?

It's cheaper native on PluginDiscounts and PluginBoutique. I only use it on buses, so I don't think the CPU hit is anything that can't be worked with. I do own the UAD version, though.
