I constantly use FreeG from Sonalksis - visually it beats the heck out of those small daw channel faders
another very good free vu meter plugin is this one - www.tb-software.com/TBProAudio/mvmeter2.htmlhowever for $20 Klanghelm VUMTdeluxe is definitely the bomb

I got the same thing, it's installed, but say's it's not available on my system. I sent a service ticket to Presonus.
I don't know how you do it Kcat, but EVERY time I try one of these free things they don't work without a hassle.

Its just bad QC.
Wanted to open a support ticket even this fails on their website. How good can a product/company be that fails in a big online marketing thing?

I don't know about Presonus really, I have an original faderport and they claim on their website that it works with Sonar It shows up in Sonar as a surface controller but the damned thing does nothing at all no working buttons no fader nada
I was lucky to find a third party software AZController and the Fader port works great with that program but the without AZ Controller it's useless. praise the gods for independent programmers!!! I wrote to Presonus at the time and received a complete blowoff and was told it works fine and to install the driver bla bla bla how they get away with claiming it works I don't know except that the FP probably works okay in other daws therefore they don't care also I admit there is some probability that my system is cursed and it works for others who knows

I had a similar bad experience with Presonus and my FaderPort. I swore off Presonus forever!
As for VU meters, nothing beats VUTM by Klanghelm.

Their CS told me if there was an error message to try another browser.
I was using safari?
Wondering what browser, others are using?
I don’t really care was just curious as it was free but who needs a pita experience: not me.

VUMT also includes mono maker, HPF/LPF, and a single band of dynamic EQ. As well as a stereo monitoring matrix. Much more useful!

BTW does anybody know how to erase the AU-Components of the PreSonus plug ins. They pop up in Logic, but they are not written in the Components folder.

I will temper my criticism of presonus faderport by saying that their claim of support for Sonar and subsequent lack of help in that area was the problem nothing more. Aside from their janky vu plug...haha The Faderport hardware unit itself is good quality and functionality (I have the original model). Don't want to over complain and happily when it works it works great in both Sonar and Mixbus 32c

I did try Mozilla, Safari and Opera and I could not send them a support ticket. This is clearly a website issue....

Figured, I have had 3 faderports and studio one and found their CS to be a little spotty although the products were very good.

Presonus Quantum is an incredibly impressive recording interface, what I use.
Some of their recipes are wonderful too, I like their Jambalaya. They put them at the end of the manuals.

Still haven't heard back from them..
Who cares anymore?
I try to erase the plug ins and I can't find them in any component's folder. The whole story is wasted time.
To me one thing is clear: PreSonus is not for people who love their work.
