Anyone using this plug? I hear it’s pretty fantastic. I downloaded the demo last night. You can select between different analog modeling, 1176A and D, LA2A, API 2500, G bus, Zener, 160, etc. All with a digital interface and control over many parameters.
I might compare it to some UAD stuff and maybe some analog OB.

It’s worth a demo. I think I’m going to purchase, which is big for me as I’ve been passing on plug-in purchases lately. Very flexible. The lack of a skeuomorphic GUI kinda challenged me to “hear” the plugin. I’ve been so accustomed to “seeing” the “analog” comp I’m using. This is getting me outside that box.
I’ve also noticed that there have been a lot of killer native plugins lately. I’m becoming less attached to my UAD stuff.

Agreed, UA is certainly very good but not the only game in town. Other developers tend to innovate and to work the gui interface more , which can add features.

I don’t think it has to be clean/hi-fi sounding. The DMG model would be, but it can get pretty saturated, especially the Zener and 1176 models. Play with the bias setting. The manual was helpful too. My initial thought was that it was going to be clean/hi-fi but only because of its digital looking interface. It doesn’t have that “analog vibe” GUI, a la UAD. But that’s just in my head.

Any good demo videos of this thing? I came up empty on YouTube, other than some talking about it.

I use equilibrium. It takes some learning/setting up. It's my preferred ITB eq, after trying most of the big names.
DMG do educational discounts of 50%, upon application.
Big Multiplicity and Essence user here too (they're other DMG ones).

I think I meant I wasn’t expecting to like it, but I did ! DITTO! I've liked some of DMG's offerings in the past - most are a bitttt too technical and leave me with option paralysis (no one's fault but my own!) but TrackComp2 is actually really killer. The ZENER is the closest I've heard ITB to our D-COMP - even THD mode is really reminiscent of what the D does when in "OUT" mode, which I was NOT expecting!! Amazing GUI, super well thought out and love the original "ranges" for the controls plus the ability to go above and beyond - allowing you to basically emulate whichever variant of say, the LA2A you have, vintage or our OPTO COMP, etc.... NEAT plug and worth a demo!!
