I know HB has a very good rep, anybody built any of their 76 rack comps: any issues?
Thx!

Nope, had $ troubles and was still within return window so did, but I liked the ADG.
Budget still tight so thinking about building a HB for fun and savings.

Thx, any preferences in version? I have 2 wa76 D. I had stam adg and liked the A a lot. They pretty much follow the sound of the revisions. A/B is gritty and noisy but has a distinct amount of harmonics. A tone box. C-E are less noisy, less toneful but still have the harmonics to some degree. F-G are cleaner, no longer class A. Still sound like an 1176 though. I've built at least one of each version and I think I like the Rev D the most.

Hmm, so if I am thinking sounds like a 76 but cleaner F or G, more dirt A or b or I could mix and match if I want two?

I have two A's and a D but I got them used so I didn't build them. They're great. Svart's description is spot on. The A's push the mids in a cool way for vocals and guitar. The D is a little flatter in the low end so usually gets used on bass.

I built the 500 series Rev A. It’s cool. Brighter and more saturated than the WA76s. More crunchy than the Rev A on the Stam ADG. It’s aggressive to be sure.
