Time based after iridium? For me that's where my DAW comes in where I'll run a software reverb/delay into a Logic Pro X aux channel... I recently acquired the basic version of Liquidsonics Seventh Heaven reverb - working with that this week.

I recently acquired the basic version of Liquidsonics Seventh Heaven reverb - working with that this week. I was referring to my delay/reverb pedals (DMMTT 1100, Flint, El Capistan, Belle Epoch Deluxe, etc). DAW fx are cool too, but that’s mix mindset for me. Plus, I am a pedal geek.

Those pedals must be really good. Nowadays days I'm looking to simplify my setup. I do like getting as much of the sound before mixing - and I could see myself with a dozen pedals. I'm resisting.

I used to have quite a collection, but have shifted it down to my favs. A few drives, a few fuzzes, etc. (well, one can never have too many fuzzes, right?).
I just picked up a couple more low gain pedals, but they aren’t necessary so I’ll probably sell them. And I should probably sell on of the delays. My fav is the Memory Man. There’s just something so organic about that pedal and I’m in love with the drive on it. And I love the gnarly sound of the El Cap when you mess with tape age and wow & flutter. I fee obligated to keep the Belle Epoch Deluxe because it’s basically an EP-3 in a box, plus other delay types. But it isn’t my favorite. I have used it to run tracks through from the DAW during mixing.

Any of you Iridium guys able to record something for me? I'm just looking to hear how it handles punky power chord riffing on the Vox and Marshall settings. Something along these lines. Bueller...Bueller...

Good video affirming the 'chime' is the babe of the three amigas.

I'm kinda diggin' that. I'll never need such heavy overdrive. What I look for is a fairly clean sound with my volume of 6 or 7, and some sustain when I jump to 10, like a Marshall can. If the Iridium can do that, I'll get one. I'm thinking Chime is the jewel in the crown here too.
That was a very helpful video. thanks indiehouse.

I just ordered one from Sweetwater. I've had to move out of my recording space, so I'm hoping this will allow me to work without an amp and get a sound that I can reproduce live when the time comes.
I've been happy with some of the UAD amp sims, but I never felt like I was nailing those with my actual Fenders. I just might sell one of my tube amps so I can buy something decent to monitor the Iridium through. Just typing that sounds crazy, but if the thing works the way I'm hoping, I'm at a point where space is a premium and I don't need the street cred to have a really cool amp anymore. The sound is the main thing. I'll still hold on to one of them.

I'm really digging pushing the Iridium with dirt/fuzz pedals. I think it makes it far more versatile.

Watched this LT video after that one. Thought the Amplifire sounded really good. Just listening on the phone, though.

I've yet to hear the Iridium sound bad. Even when the players are of the level that they can't hold chords in tune.
I'd put this on my pedalboard if I had to do silent stage gigs sight unplayed.

I'm really digging pushing the Iridium with dirt/fuzz pedals. I think it makes it far more versatile. Pedals into the Iridium is giving me the most fun I've had playing electric guitar in years and years. Prompted me to do some pickup swaps/pot replacements I've been meaning to for a long time. Only downside is it's a major distraction from studying. It's just so damn fun to be able to get these kinds of sounds this easily.

I haven’t bought a pedal in years, but the Iridium has “inspired” me to buy a couple of new dirt pedals. I picked up a Skreddy Lunar Module Deluxe for some cool silicone fuzz. I broke out my old Analogman Sunface white dot fuzz. The coolest new one is a Marshall-in-a-box style pedal, a Snouse Black Box 2 Pro. Pretty great. Also got on the list for that Kingsley.

Maybe this is the video for "punky power chord riffing?" but I don't agree with this being the video to check out the Iridium for anything else - unless you are inclined towards heavy metal or as my old ears painfully behold: rusty nails on metal/lids/angry alley cat). The round Iridium amp is smoother than the Chime - and the Punch has more punch than the chime. I have not pushed my iridium amps near 100% gain for more than a second. (I have an overdrive pedal to place before it now.)

Watched this LT video after that one. Thought the Amplifire sounded really good. Just listening on the phone, though. This one shows Amplifire next to Iridium and my take is the Iridium offers a better depth of sound. Not as many options, but just a solid performer in what it does do.

Clean to edge of breakup/mild OD is where the Iridium shines and it's best in class for that in my view. I do regularly have drive near 100% on the Fender setting but that's still just pretty mild overdrive. Sounds great.

My Iridium arrived today! Pretty quick service from Sweetwater. I've heard some people have had to wait.
If anyone has links to their suggested IRs to try out I'd appreciate a DM or response here.
I've downloaded IR's for reverbs to use in mixing, but I have never explored what IRs are worthwhile for guitar cabs. Not even sure what makes the paid ones better than the free ones out there. I know there are hundreds online.
I might also be interested in a cab IR to use with electric bass.

The Iridium has made it fun for me to play electric in the box for the first time ever. A tiny taste if verb to create some space and I am one big smile from ear to ear. I'm digging Chime the most but the the other two sound "right" and I'm sure I'll have use for them.

I'm really enjoying the iridium chime with York's VX15 112 BLUE IRs; also enjoy chime with some of the cabs from OwnHammer's (r)Evolution bundle.

I finally got around to firing up the Impulse Response Manager and I am glad I did.
I didn't realize there were more cabs that came with it and, just like with TH-U, I really gravitate towards the Ownhammer stuff. And with the Punch (Marshall), I had hardly been using it, but swapping in some 1x12 and 2x12 Ownhammer cabs has me grinning. I was already loving this thing but this is really sweetening the deal. What a blast the Iridium is. Had it for awhile now and it remains one of my favorite pieces of gear.
I'm going to grab a couple more Ownhammer libraries (the Alnico Blue and the Deluxe Reverb options being the obvious choices) and maybe something from York? I downloaded the demo York IR set ($1.00 for a handfull of IRs of a Mesa Vintage 30s cab) and don't really like it. But then, I had that cab and didn't really like it in real life either.
Any other IRs people are really liking with the Iridium?

I also hear Hislop IR’s are supposed to be really good.

And all at zero latency without a mouse or any other computer BS. I'm looking forward to seeing what other Iridium type of products Strymon comes out with. I see a $500 Iridium coming out with an effects loop and a few more amp models. Just as long as they keep a menu and screens out of the equation. Knobs/switches only is a major selling point.
