For those of you who have your Apollo’s cascaded...Do you have them in the rack together? They get pretty warm, should I be concerned about them being on top of each other in the rack?

Yes: one space between each is recommended

I have 3 apollos (an 8 and two 16’s) with no space between them for the past 2 years with no problems at all. The top unit has one space above it. But if you have the space, it’s preferable to leave gaps between each unit though. I don’t have enough rack space to do it that way.

We do recommend a space above in the manual to be safe, but as drsax noted, many users stack them without issue.
It's really up to each user's comfort level.

Heat kills electronics, so why have no space, if you can have space?

Official recommendation is still 1 space, but we do test no space and half spaces! Attachments:

Official recommendation is still 1 space, but we do test no space and half spaces! Your i/o will most likely get you there but 68 SHARCs will be your bottleneck and I find it hard to believe it would be sufficient for even a full album project.
