Gosh, as much as I find Izotope’s products very useful, their yearly upgrade model and pricing leaves a bad taste in my mouth. As a longtime owner of their big ticket suites, I wonder why I paid more to upgrade from Ozone 7 Advanced to 8 than from a single free item crossgrade.
Anyways - great price to get into the ecosystem for new users!

I bought Akai VIP 3.1 for $30 and got the free Iris 2 license. I got Ozone 8 Elements and Neutron Elements the same way but haven't felt compelled to upgrade them as of yet, the single iLok license is sort of a pain for me.
Took a while to get around a weird install bug with VIP but finally found a fix posted on their forum. Wasn't sure how useful it would be as I already have Komplete Kontrol and MainStage 3, which are similar, but I like the plug-in maps for Eventide and Soundtoys plug-ins. It lets me save presets combining any soft synth with H3000 Factory or Soundtoys Effect Rack without having them tied to a specific session. Now to figure out the export/import routine to move presets between the living room play time Mac and the studio machine!
