With Mic Rehab having so many customer issues, I wonder if anyone knows of a great mic tech in the NY area. Sometimes I need help with something minor, like a probable loose wire, and I'd prefer not to ship cross country unless I have no other choice.

I see Klar Audio Electronics in Brooklyn on Reverb doing custom built mics. I've communicated with them a few times. It seems like an operation similar to Chris at Barbaric where he's making some stuff to order and some designs he promotes at certain price points. I'm guessing Klar would also work with you for mods or repairs.

I wonder if B&H have a repair shop?

That would be interesting, but B&H just take returns and exchange. I know the guys at Alto Music well and buy most of my gear there. They're the best I've seen in decades. Still, I don't like to bug them with petty stuff, they've hooked me up so many times already.

These guys have helped me out a few times. They’ve repaired my TNC ACMP-84 and my Dan Alexander Dual Channel Class A preamp. It just depends on what you need. davidsonelectronics.com/
