I use my 7th Heaven on a bus, sending varying amounts from my tracks. Are you guys saying you put it on the 2 bus and apply the reverb equally? I've never tried that. Yes. But not "it - 7H" - the real Bricasti M7 - Studio A - 2nd to last element in mastering chain before the final brick wall limiter. Set 50-60% full wet. Audio / Musical magic. Makes the mix come alive. Not reverby - just alive. I've never found a box or plug in that can do it the same. For that one trick alone, it's worth it for me. Of course, there are many other tricks up its sleeve.... Analog or digital I/O? I am pretty convinced the Deep Stone comparison is a presets-hijinks thing. It doesn’t sound like tonal/behavior difference, it sounds like a different setting. I think it can be due to Wiz using the analog I/O (and maybe his mixing board?). That introduces a lot of variables.

I have the Pro version. The cheap one does include most of my go-to presets, but not all of them.

Ok I did it as fast as I could before leaving the studio today. I pulled up a stock drum loop from Logic that was reasonably dry. I sent it to "Studio B Close" on the Bricasti and Seventh Heaven, and printed the output. Apparently I did everything correctly as to print with no latency, which is not as easy as it should when you're in a hurry. Hey Wiz are you using the analog in/out in the Bricasti? I use digital. Analog Ah, that would explain the differences in level. I've read some comments from people that think the analog I/O sounds better than the digital. I haven't compared them myself though. If I have some time at the studio I can try posting a comparison as well. It might be useful.

Just as a clarification, I do own a Bricasti. And I prefer it to the plugin. I can hear the difference clearly, especially on the very last details of the tails, that fade beautifully into black with no artifacts whatsoever.
However, I have no qualms about using both in a mix. I won’t bother printing a Bricasti track. I put the Bricasti on the most important element (either a chamber/plate for the vocal, or Studio B Close for everything else) and use the plugin on the other auxes.

For me, it’s so good it’s like cheating. And after using it on every mix for a while, I had to have a hardware Bricasti! I think the plugin gets you 90% of the way compared to the real thing, and that’s enough for many uses.

I think it’s a great vocal mic, never had any complaints. Nice in acoustic guitars as well.

I only stopped using my v67 when I got a Neumann U67. And still, I don’t think I’ll sell the JZ! Which is brighter? JZ or the reissue? Reissue. I brought it with me when I tested the mic at Funky Junk in London. I remember we plugged it in last, and said “it sounds dull, doesn’t it?” But that’s the only time I compared them head to head. FWIW I never thought the v67 was dull, and I’ve never found the U67 reissue to be bright. Weird!

I've been thinking about this as well. What would be the best way to split the guitar signal to track the Iridium along with a clean capture? I don't have any experience doing that. Not sure there’s a way to do that The Little Labs DI/reamp box is what you want. Pedalboard into DI —> interface, and parallel out into Iridum —> interface. That’s what I do but using a Tech 21 Liverpool. The Little Labs also serves for reamping later. It’s brilliant.

Audience. I used to do drummer perspective way back.
Recently, I asked my drummer. He said he likes audience perspective, he likes to “feel like he’s watching the band”, not be in the band. Makes sense to me!

Been waiting to grab the Bob Weir acoustic preamp, which just went 60% off at SW - so that one's been answered. Wow! I didn’t even know that this existed and I’ve been looking for exactly this. I want to use a DPA 4060 and a pickup at the same time, and could find nothing at a reasonable cost that would power the mic and blend it.

I got the ATM 230 three pack when I saw Jackpot post about it on instagram. I think they sound great and the bleed is very controlled. I have an ATM 25 that I use on floor tom sometimes and I don't notice a huge difference. Otherwise I sometimes use RE20's on floor toms or if I'm really feeling wild I'll use my pair of M160's or a Stager SR2N. Thanks for the heads up about the ATM230 and the pack. It looks like these could be a step up for me.

I was going to suggest the Fender Deluxe Tweed, but it's expensive and that amp comes with a learning curve. There are many builders doing 5E3 clones but you should definitely try one before going that route. That amp goes from 50s clean to Hotel California solo tones (both guitars, LP and Tele).
I know the designer of the Origin. Well, he actually left the company before the amp came out and they changed a few things. He specifically recommented the 20 over the 50, and the head version. I paired mine with a 1x12 cab with a Celestion Type A and the amp sounds really good, very big range of sounds, including some stellar cleans. I then spent some extra replacing the tubes with a custom set from Tube Amp Doctor and it went from really good to absolutely awesome! So don't discount that amp yet. If you have a combo with a good speaker already you can use the head with that combo, you just need an adaptor with two female jacks (Neutrik makes one).
Do you have a lot of pedals?

My lowly e604 always work perfectly for me. I find nothing wrong with them and never felt the need for an upgrade. Am I crazy? I’ve also used a SM57 for the 10” tom with fantastic results. And an e906 for floor toms, or an SM7. All of them equally fine.
