I'm definitely going to need a pair of these. It's been really cool seeing this from the beginning.

Grayhill is saying mid June but I will believe it when I see it.
Everything else is done, so when the switches arrive it should be a matter of days before we have units ready to ship. Cross your fingers for July to ship first batch...but don’t hold your breath. 🤪

Right on schedule, Grayhill pushes switch delivery back 6 more weeks, citing COVID delays. What a cluster. Original quote was 8 weeks, 16 weeks ago.
Sorry guys, I'm going to stop updating until I have something physical in my hands. It'll just be groundhog day until then. Very frustrating.

It's now my turn in the demo line. This thing is pretty awesome. Really loving it on P-bass tracks, electric guitars, snare and vocals that need a lift. The shelves are more useful than I expected. Beats the plugin, easy to dial in and has a unique vibe compared to other EQ's. Going to track with it tomorrow which should be fun.

Dogears, first listen sounds great. There's something sweet about this EQ.
I love the Soundtoys plugin. No exposure to the original hardware. Any info on how to get the plugin's drive pot effect with this new hardware? So far I've always used the plugin with some "drive." Just hit it harder, or softer in analog? Does it vibe in the same way? I like to use the Soundtoys plugin for EQ pretreated harmonics/distortion effects. Can you do that with the Ironage hardware?

Thanks! It’s been a lot of stress fun developing it.
Yeah, the Siemens circuit has some great class A tone and it warms up nicely when you push it. That drive knob is one thing that’s easier to do with the plugin. To do that effect you’d have to drive it harder on the analog side. They modeled the Sie-Q after a 295, and the amplifier gain blocks are the same on the LH95. The distortion is going to be very similar.

She’s got a lot of irons in the fire. Working on a book about mics plus starting up a video series on that crazy huge mic collection she bought. Should be rad.

So here I was thinking that I really need a “vibe” EQ with nice transformers, mostly to shape my (real) piano tracks and open up those ribbon mics a bit. Also for general utility of course, that’s what the patchbay is for! Most of my hardware is dedicated to designed instruments and I’m well covered for drums, bass, guitars and vocals Well, I think this could be the ticket! Any thoughts?
