The two demo units are making their way down the demo list. If you want to try them, please let me know. The production run is going. Grayhill seems to have some part of their supply chain in China (I reckon) because they have sent me a pretty big delay on the switches. But, the production is in process! Check out the faceplate design! http://instagram.com/p/B80IsFGhBK5

I havent made any samples yet.
Some user quotes “ Big and buttery, but flexible” “ Want to impart how powerful a tool what you're developing is. “ ” these eqs sounds really fucking good. That’s my technical analysis”

Will there be a rack unit as well? Cheers, Geoff Thinking about a stereo rack unit, but we’re totally swamped between orders and managing this guy right now. One product at a time (which actually is three or four right now 🤪)

A demo user who has a couple of vintage W295b modules was kind enough to do some sweeps for me. The red is the LH95, the blue is a stock vintage W295B. I don't know what interface he was using, but he's at -20dBFS so likely this is around nominal line level. My observations - The LH95 THD curve is the same as I tested. The low-end THD is from the transformer we use, which is what we use on most of our products. I am surprised at the relatively high THD in the W295b, especially in the upper mids and highs. The ~1dB difference in the high end response around 10k is from the particular input transformer we chose. When I used the Jensen, I noticed this same very slight roll-off at 20k. Buuut...users (and us) unanimously agreed that between the two, the Cinemag sounded better. To put the THD numbers in context, I believe he told me the LH95 is 0.01% (-80dB) and the W295B is 0.1% (-60dB). Not sure if those numbers are weighted or how THD is being calculated using this particular plugin. Now, please remember I did not try to clone the W295b, I did not test the W295b, and I wasn't trying to emulate it or match the transformer characteristics. This is just for funsies. (But he says they do sound really really close).

I had the Beta units in for testing last month and though I would give my report..... I found the Iron Age units to be quite special in the respect that they seem to keep the source very clear when EQed and add a dimensional quality that wraps the source without blurring. Having used everything in the normal high end lexicon I would say these are unique and very useful as they are elegant and stealthy in deft usage. On a P bass with flat wounds I used a 4 Db boost at 700 and a +6 Db Low shelf boost against the HP filter and It sounded like Donny Hathaway Live. On Vocals a touch of High Shelf and 2 db of 3.5 made the singer sit above a dense mix without a hint of harshness. What I really dig is that there is none of the blurry build up one gets with the usual vintage suspects. The source remains intact but is larger and more elegant sounding with transients intact. Overall a A+ and I will be getting a couple when the smoke clears in my move.

Covid19 is making that difficult to forecast. I wish I could tell you something more accurate.

Just heard back about the switches. Sager (distributor) and Grayhill (manufacturer) are both rightly prioritizing orders and expediting energy for health care equipment manufacturers. Right now, there are no confirmed dates being offered on any shipments, but the estimated ship date to me for the switches is now mid-June.
Hope everyone is staying safe out there!!

Good news! Cinemag is back open in some capacity, and the transformers shipped!
I know that our problems are small compared to what others are facing with the COVID19 situation but it’s nice to get a win...
