That is really incredible. I wasn't planning on buying any more but how could I resist?

Any must haves? Honestly, I don't use Waves. I have the phase correction plugin, but that's it.

LA3A is one of my favorite plugins. I put it on almost everything. No GR needed. Strangely just slapping in on make stuff better. One of the few rare plugins that do that honestly to me.
Only one i really recommend.
Edit: I do like the TG mastering chain plugin too. That would be worth it.

The Kramer pie. Compressor also adds some weight on a track without gain reduction. Just putting it on the track Billy Decker says it’s on his master buss like that

Abbey Road Chambers, ADT and the PIE comp are my faves. Use them constantly. I like the 3A too.

Abbey Road ADT, Plates, and Chambers ...... some like the Waves J37 for mimic-ing analog saturation. While I like the Cranesong Phoenix 2 for that, the price tag difference between them is huge.
recently Waves had a buy 1 for $29 get another of $29 for free, but many of the good plugs were priced higher then on the 2nd in order to upsell, ..... Only once ever have I seen it be better where it was buy 1 for $29 and get another $29 free and many to most of the other plugs were priced at $29.

MV2, Deesser, F6 and H Delay are all over everything I do. I have a ton of their plugins but those four are essential for me. I've just started using Vocal Rider in side chain mode, getting a feed from an All Music buss and it really helps get that little extra bit of presence from a vocal. It took me a long time to come up with settings I liked but I used it on the last album project and it worked for me. I'm seriously looking at getting the Abbey Road plate, chambers and mastering channel. Hard to beat that price. I know some people have a real problem with iLok but I've never run into much of a problem.

A lot of you guys are recommending the Abbey Roads reverbs, but aren't they resource hogs? Plus, are they really any better than the Exponential Audio stuff? I've got Abbey Roads Plates, but I've never installed it because I heard it can choke a CPU, and I don't want to burden my aging 2012 Mac Mini anymore than I have to.

I think I'm going to buy the Waves SSL G-Master Bus comp and the API 2500. Had a Smart C2 and API 2500 hardware. So, curious. At that price, why not?
Anybody know the difference between the Abbey Road Plate and the Chamber?

Most good reverbs do. I'd consider myself a bit of a snob for reverb and i wasn't that impressed really with them. M7 is still best and my first choice. I use the ST LittlePlate more for quick and additional reverb stuff.

And I don't actually think it's that great. I bought it but don't use it much. I like the cheap/sometimes free Soundtoys Little Plate better. I still think UAD EMT140 mops the floor with all of them. I really miss that plug, along with all UAD verb/delay/modulation. AR Chambers is kickass though. That's a go-to for me.

Anybody know the difference between the Abbey Road Plate and the Chamber? Plates is emulating an EMT plate reverb. Chambers is emulating a couple of echo chambers, along with the S.T.E.E.D. thing. I'd skip Plates and get Chambers.

I keep seeing ADT mentioned in this thread. I may have to give it a go for the $29 price.

I keep seeing ADT mentioned in this thread. I may have to give it a go for the $29 price. It's kind of addictive to me. I really love it on electric guitars and vocals. It's an effect that I fear years later I'll wonder why I reached for it so often, but now I'm enjoying it. Tons of options with it.

The real kicker would be if WUP were $29 for the next two days. I would get back at least a dozen plugins. And then I’d buy a couple as a “thank you” to Waves.

I’ve just bought back the few Waves plugs I actually used when they’re $29.
But yes, WUP sucks.

Yeah, Wupped. Upgraded my OS, needed newer Waves central or whatever it’s called and $100s of Waves plugs vanished. No more Waves for me. Is that how it works? It’s not like I wanted newer better versions of the plugs if they existed.
Cheers, Geoff

Get you to bite on all these $29 plugins and then hit you with an “update” fee every couple of years? No thanks.

What is WUP?
I've got the Waves Mercury bundle but have never upgraded for years. I use only a a few of them anyway.

Aren’t they on V10 now? So, if I purchase one of these $29 deals, I’d be forced to update Waves Central to the latest V10 in order to download/authorize, which I then assume would make my V9 plugins not work until I payed their ransom...err...I mean Waves Update Plan?
That about right?
