I just saw on the @exponentialaudio website that their Bricasti M7Control Plugin is no longer available. I sure hope there’s a good explanation for this. For those of us that have previously purchased and use the plugin, this doesn’t bode well for the longevity of support for their products or for customer confidence.

Drag, I don’t know but I would think that might only be an issue with the bricasti plug in ?

That’s weird. Maybe Bricasti are taking over? Here’s hoping!

I have the plugin, and while it's great to have all the controls on screen, using it has not been without problems. It seems to lose connection with the unit a lot, and causing DAW crashes. That said, it might just as well be the DAW that is the issue, not the plugin. I have only used it in Cubase so far. Will give it a try in Reaper.
Hopefully Bricasti will pick it up and continue the support and upgrading.

It’s been fine for me on PT12. I honesty love it and very disappointed to hear this news.

Anyone keep hoping for a Bricasti ITB? $500 or more would be totally worth it. I can only imagine the horespower requirements would be insane, but that's the price of integration.
Anyhow, I hope I didn't derail the thread. please keep updating it!

Even with the cooperation of a third party, building and maintaining a product designed specifically to interface with somebody else’s product. Is a major pain in the ass and time sink.

I beta'd it years ago, and have been using it with the M7 hardware and PT ever since. Rock solid here. If it is gone, that will be a serious blow for Casey and Bricasti. I hope it's just a momentary blip.
BTW, Casey has mentioned that he is OK with Michael and is also OK with another company picking up the plugin and supporting it. Hopefully that will happen. Seems like a great opportunity for some plugin dev.

I think an explanation from @exponentialaudio is in order. For a midi control plugin it wasn’t exactly cheap. I’ve never owned a plugin this young that has been discontinued. Not to mention that I redid placement of a lot of Outboard gear in my studio to accommodate this workflow. If I lose midi control of the M7 it will require a pretty big restructure here

Things like this happen usually due to costs, or due to one of the companies being bought/sold.
I'd think that either there were considerable costs in maintaining or supporting the plugin, aka the number of problems were costing more to help fix than they were making from sales, or that either Bricasti or EA are being bought or sold, or maybe the plug was essentially an unlicensed/unapproved thing that is causing Bricasti problems and they've asked them to stop..

Good points Svart. Could be... although I know this plug was officially sanctioned by Bricasti. Exponential should have sent email notification out to its customer base before simply discontinuing it and making it unavailable. This was not a cheap plug-in, and customers who have paid for it should be supported. If there is a viable reason for it being discontinued, It would be proper customer support to either offer partial refund, or credits to customers for future purchases. Although discontinuing the product this soon doesn’t build customer confidence in wanting to buy more of their products moving forward.

]or maybe the plug was essentially an unlicensed/unapproved thing that is causing Bricasti problems and they've asked them to stop.. it's not that. Have no idea why it's discontinued, but Bricasti and Exponential - Casey & Michael - have and from what Casey said - continue to have a good relationship. For those who purchased the plugin to control an M7-M (the faceless model), this is a devastating blow to a multi-thousand dollar purchase.....

I didn’t reconfigure my studio setup, workflow and recall and invest in Exponential’s product to see it discontinued this soon. And you’re right... for those with the M7M this is devastating
