I wanted to share a recent custom project we did that was kinda clever. Customer dreamed up a wild four slot utility piece for 500 series. www.ironageaudioworks.com/post/the-lubricatorIt’s a stereo wet/dry blender with a switchable mid/side encoder-decoder wrapped around it. So the input comes in, is available output in either stereo or mid / side, returns to the blend stage, then is summed and sent through the decoder.

Allows you to parallel process whatever you want and/or use whatever piece as a midside processor plus parallel blending. Pretty sweet idea. Cool its discrete too.

Yeah, what he said.
Maybe use it on the bus, or for mastering. Turn a stereo pair into mid/side, and use one compressor on the mid, a different one on side. Or same with eq. Then parallel blend with the dry and convert it back to L/R.

And as much as I detest MS fake stereo, when a client demands it . . . it would be an easy way to provide it with any mics and preamps combination. Street price? RGO price?

No street price. I don’t have a faceplate for it, for that client we made a custom PCB for the faceplate. I have PCBs left over and can make more - same approach (pcb faceplate) call it $750. Metal faceplate run adds significant cost.

So many cool original designs & implementations! The samples posted from YouTube & Jesse are amazing! I would be post that YT vid ( guitar singer video w/ CS1 ) everywhere for product examples. Wow & you have a knack for explaining things easily I previously was clueless about ( op amp explanations in your circuits, types of harmonic distortion from them & how the transformers windings being wired changes sound )

Hey guys! We are teaming up with Access Analog to offer digital demos of our LH95 EQs! This uses their plugin to stream your audio back to their secret lab, where their robots flip the switches and turn the knobs based on what you do with the digital twin on the UI. http://instagr.am/p/CGYNtjkBNKJ PM or email me for a free access code to try the pair of EQs out!

Thought I'd share a pretty fun project we got to do. A customer of ours had some vintage JE-123-H transformers. These came from I believe Sunset, but were Deane Jensen's spec for Wally Heider, wound by Reichenbach, which is now Cinemag sometime between 1974 and 1977 (say that five times fast!). We made a pair of our QP5s with a Cinemag RE-0887 input transformer, the Reichenbach vintage design that was also made for Heider, for a very cool one of a kind pair of mic pres. https://www.instagram.com/p/CLxpzlDhiu6

You're killin' me, smalls.
My thought process went "Oh cool, an IAA 500 series EQ... oh wait, it's got a compressor on it too! ..... Oh my God a mic pre, too!"
Loving my QPP.

Working on a batch now. Switch lead times right now are crazy, 16 weeks We have an informal wait list going, just people who have told me they want one. If anyone is interested I’ll put you down. No money or obligation, just a notification when one is available.

I've been real tempted by the V2. I also was wondering if you could put the LH95 circuit in a similar unit. Like with the different gain options.

I really need to try/test the LH95 well be warned, once you do, you'll want to keep it! I love my pair of LH95’s. They are truly musical and I use them from tracking and mix buss applications!!! Get yourself a pair best eq’s!!! Can’t wait for my H9’s to arrive! 🤗🎉.

All of our products are designed by us from one end to the other, and made here in Texas. IAA isn't about clones but cool, useful, musical designs that are inspired by vintage gear from the past. That's super rad! Honestly had never heard of your company before this & you've got some intriguing ideas... the world needs more original designs instead of re-treads & klones. The quad mic amp looks good. Wish I had been aware of it before I picked up a Black Lion Auteur quad... not that I'm unhappy with the BL but I was looking for a solid 4 channel that wasn't 3124 money or built in China. Maybe next time! Question... some of the gear you mentioned in this thread like the summing box in post #1, the channel strip... they don't seem to be listed on the site as of today? Realizing you offer some "custom" work, is it mostly small batch builds? Like hey, we're putting together 2 dozen of these and when they're gone they're gone?
