Kenetik makes both a slow and fast model right? Correct, I have one of each. Unplug, wait 5 minutes, don't touch anything that hasn't discharged, then switch and plug back in.

From the site where the piece can be purchased, they offer a single, matched pair as well as "fast/slow pair", which I assume in the case of either the fast or the slow and depending on which is used as the baseline, is one of the 50% rejected units in testing that they does not meet specification and which is usually not used. gearslut.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=84&zenid=gbbt3kn8votkafbjktuk3s30v7

So, my last two projects I've used a mono 4038 into Dan's DB Pre and have gotten the most unbelievable drum room sound. As I get to mixing, I'll pull out a snippet or two and post. Massive low end...this thing rivals my Neve 1066s and that's no BS. If it's a Coles, it's going into the DBPre.

We’re finding the DB tube preamps to encompass much of what we like in our favorite preamps at the studio. It has clarity of a Grace (without the hard “glassy-ness”), the huge fullness of a Neve, and a 3D spaciousness like nothing else we have. Gotta love tubes and Jensens.

Just received a quote from the local powder coating paint shop. Working next with the local sheet metal shop.
I might be selling the prototype for a reduced price, but one of my fellow engineers has first dibs on it. I’ll let you know if he declines.
