Anybody using these? They’ve got a big sale on the modules and I’ve got 1 500-series slot left. Seems like it could be a cool thing? Anyone heard ‘em/like ‘em?

It’s great stuff... I sold my MK1 color palette’s a while back but I’ve been meaning to replace them with the MK2’s. I used them on pretty much every mix. Sale looks like a great deal ...

15 bucks for a ~5 part op amp build is worth it. I have yet to be disappointed by diyre

I didn't like the build quality/consistency when it came to the DIYRE stuff, guess I'm spoiled with CAPI & Hairball. But try it out

I would agree that they aren't on the order of CAPI or Hairball. But they are pretty affordable and you can have great fun with them. I sold off all of mine to fund other gear and pay bills, but if I ever get back to a better place financially I would build some more. They were fun for tracking and extreme effects. Some were more subtle. I loved the Jfet, 15IPS was ok, the TM79 was good, and the distorta studio was a lot of fun. I had some opto comp as well that was wild. Easy builds, too.

This looks also interesting IMO: barthrk.co.uk/product/mpq568c-colour-preamp/?v=d3dcf429c679A preamp with limited EQ and 2 colour slots. And you get 1 colour module for free. I'm thinking about this and selecting the VCA compressor as the free colour module. That way you get a channel strip with preamp, eq and compression in 1 500 slot for about €200!
