1.6g6b Blonde Bassman Bass channel through an EV SRO——keep Treble way down and it works great. 2. Believe it or not—-Normal channel on a 6g3 Brown Deluxe with the tone way down...a very dark channel that punches with the SRO 3. IK Amplitube Ampeg Plugs...usually the B15 flip top 4. Tech21 Sanasamp TriAC With Ampeg Bass preset
All go into a Black Lion Audio 73 pre, an 1176 clone, and a Pultec clonebefore hitting the DAW, well, the IK option excepted. It gets put on after the signal hits the DAW.
I have a Rumble Version 1 x 15 in mint condition out in my mancave. The one with the disco lights that gets brighter with higher volume. Sounds great but I have probably logged in around 6 hours of use over the years. Becoming the minimalist that I am I should sell that sucker.
That picture of my bass that I posted here on this forum that nobody will remember in one of these threads a few weeks ago I usually run direct through a Neve 1073 or an Ampeg for recording or for playing in the studio and that is why my Rumble is neglected. Beautiful weather in southern Oregon this week.
Sip coffee, slurp, bye bye,....

P.S. don't you just love it the preview function on this forum just shows you what you wrote and nothing changes you got to love it. Dictation is my friend.

My bass player has one of the Fender Rumble 100s with the 12". It has forced me to revise my opinion of Fender bass amps somewhat. I works really well live in our not very loud country band and it's certainly easier to lug than a Portaflex. Have not tried it in the studio.
