Holy, I don't get what I'm trying to do here. The caps fight me to come off, and when I try to unscrew the little part after I'm convinced I'm gonna break the pot.
Help me out here!!!

From the pics it looks like you have to pop the end off the knob and then unscrew the inner tube to release the clamp. Once you unscrew that tube it should slide right off..
EDIT and you have to unscrew that tube while holding the outer knob in place.

If it’s a collet knob, use a dremel to grind a slot in a small flat head to turn it into a collet knob tool.
