Looks sweet, wish it was 2 rack space rather than 3.

Looks sweet, wish it was 2 rack space rather than 3. There’s some talk about that on the product page. I can’t vouch for its validity.

I’ve actually had littlesicily’s while he’s been out of town. Liked it so much I bought one. I’ve had the TG Opto for some time and love it...honestly, they sound similar - this one having a really nice lower mid goodness. Well, the TG does too, but one sounds tubey and one doesn’t. I have kind of avoided LA2As because my initial experience was that the couple I used were either wooly or glassy. Neither of which I particularly cared that much for. But this thing stamps it with a nice midrange but doesn’t **ck up the time. I especially love that you can use the R37 screw to adjust how the comp reacts to the highs.

It’s become my main vocal comp for tracking. Use it 75% of the time.

I actually used it to touch the vocals on Give More with fastest attack (and release) and it just killed. I don’t think I’ve ever pinned the attack for a vocal.

Very curious about this one. Has anyone tried it next to a WA2A?

Very curious about this one. Has anyone tried it next to a WA2A? I considered the warm but after listening to Files I was less interested. I compared the part choices between warm and audio scape and the audio scape is made with better components.

I don't think that Warm does repairs overseas or are you talking about Stam ?

Well, it was meant to be humorous, but then it's also half real.. Because.. A) Don't you get everything free? B) Both advertise on this site and they are becoming pretty well-known if not ubiquitous in studios. C) Don't you get everything free?

The other factor is Chris at audio Scape can turn around a product in days rather than months with warm. The other deciding factor was if the need for repair came up Chris is in Florida rather than shipping overseas for 75 bucks each way. I have heard that warm may have some repair centers in the US. Communication is an important issue as well. I emailed Chris with some questions about the Opto (I bought two and a 76a) and he got back to me promptly. I've been trying to get a pretty simple question answered by Josh for 5 days now and he hasn't responded. I emailed his company and the response I got conflicted with what Josh posted in a thread in this forum. I'm not sure what to make of that but it doesn't fill me with confidence and I'm starting to regret putting down payments on a couple of items this past week.

Not a total defense of Stam’s way he does business but I did want to say - in the interest of fairness - Stam has a guy in California who handles his US repairs so there is no overseas shipping involved. Yep, just sent a Stam unit off for repair and communication has been clear and timely with the tech in Cali.

Yep, just sent a Stam unit off for repair and communication has been clear and timely with the tech in Cali. My question wasn't about an issue or repair with a product I own. I'm trying to make a decision on whether to opt into the upgrade on his 67 mic and I want to know what NOS tube he uses as part of the upgrade package since he didn't specify that in the SA67 thread. I can't seem to get an answer directly from Josh and whoever wrote me back from Stam thought it was the same tube as in the non-upgraded SA67 and that conflicts with what Josh posted in a thread in this forum.
