Guys and Gals, don't shoot the messenger (me) but there are many caveats to online purchases that you might want to check in on like... did you pay with PayPal and or a credit card or directly through PayPal, etc.? It can get convoluted with each and every transactional detail. For example,..... "PayPal: You paid for the item with one payment (items purchased with multiple payments are not eligible for Buyer Protection)." Again maybe, maybe not and it depends. I still don't see the point of your post. At this point there's no issue of people being refused refunds if they've requested it. You're the guy who said, "...I have had immediate needs big time and needed stuff like yesterday," and then two seconds later ordered something from Stam. Now less than a week later you're speculating about this being the "oldest scam in the book." Your thought process seems a tad inconsistent. You are taking me out of context, leaving out my reply in the other thread and I kindly asked not to shoot the messenger. I am only trying to protect people like yourself but you are so right about one thing and that is people are *not* being refused refunds yet, and I hope all will see their product before their dead. |

This is business as usual for Stam though. Anyone ordering should already be well aware that the shipping estimates have always been overly optimistic and production delays are typical. He's in the middle of transitioning into a wholesale-to-retailers business model and refusing refunds at this juncture would be career suicide. |

There's no "context" issue with how I quoted you. You said one thing and then did something antithetical to what you said. You also made two strange posts complaining that people weren't responding to you fast enough, now you're complaining that you got a response. If "the messenger" doesn't want to be shot, he shouldn't step into the street waving his guns around. We all know there are issues with Stam. There are many threads where the real problems have been discussed and I've been as critical as anyone. We don't need to add imaginary problems to the list. If we ever get to the point where Josh packs his bags and keeps our deposits, I'm sure we'll all be asking for your advice. Until then, the problems that actually exist are fodder enough for conversation and complaints. |

There you go again, I asked the ADMIN of this forum one question period and I have never asked a single question to anyone else on this forum ever, and NOW you are taking what I have said and saying I was asking *people* questions and then you say I had two strange posts when I had one because I was sleep deprived because I am working long hard hours and loving it. I take ear breaks and that is why I am here replying to this at almost 3 AM.
I should of just shot JK an email but I apologized, and I had a point nonetheless and he cleared up the confusion by stating he didn't mean to say what he said.
You say however you have been critical as most anyone but you allude to the fact that I should just shut up because my concerns are all imaginary. PM me because I have some really nice property to sell you and I will even give you a great discount if you want to put a deposit on it. You know I will even throw in a free acre and I will even discount some additional acreage. I need a deposit though because thousands of people want this incredible deal.
All I have suggested is that people check their sixes because of what I have seen in the past which i could write a book on and it is my civic duty.
Now please go vote if you haven’t already and i am finished on this issue and we will see won’t we and I am sincerely hoping for the best for all of you. Even Einstein would often get lost walking so I am giving the company in question a partial pass at this time but poorly managed just the same.

These Stam threads are making me appreciate the fact we didn’t have the internet back in the days of waiting on the Tascam DA88, Mackie 8 bus and just about any Sony or Panasonic professional product. We gearpimps thought the never ending voice mails of those who ordered early were a pain.

Amazing how that 1073MPA keeps being 'in stock' but I haven't seen anything of the one I ordered 8 months ago and was invoiced and paid in full for 8 weeks ago.
'In stock' must mean something different in Chile.
