Could that be an ADK capsule ? They've been designed in Australia, and are manufactured in China. Supposed to be quite good. ADK's designers are us based.

I won't post anything that hasn't already been said on other threads but suffice it to say there has been a lot of speculation about the 3U/ADK connection. There is even some marketing copy you can read between the lines on if you want. Larry (ADK) actually went on to the big 3U thread and responded when that speculation was first happening.

Dont Forget Rode make there own Capsules - Australian manufacturer. Really? Are they completely Australian? Because some of their products are VERY inexpensive. If so, that's very impressive.

Dont Forget Rode make there own Capsules - Australian manufacturer. Really? Are they completely Australian? Because some of their products are VERY inexpensive. If so, that's very impressive. They are a mixture from what I have been told, but they do have a fairly large capeability in OZ!

Go to their YouTube page there's a video showing how they build their mics. They've automated a lot of the processes which is how they've been able to keep the prices low. They used to rebadge Chinese mics when they first started but have now moved to manufacturing in Australia.
