Usually you let the offenders run wild and sell as many as they can as they will be working for you once you file a lawsuit to recover damages and profits made.

A lawyer might take on the case on a contingency. Maybe joelhamilton can tell us a little more since he's a recovering lawyer. Unfortunately, you might be screwed...profits were probably less than its worth for a lawyer. I had a song that I pitched to a band...the a&r loved it...then they rewrite the song with the same song title and it's the name of their newest album. Nothing I can really do about it. It's a dirty, dirty business. But with this being your actual recordings, you might have a good case. I like the post for your advice on the lawyer and perspective, not because of the scum bucket who robbed you of hard work...
